Many balms are simply butters and waxes that sit on the skin. Golden Calm is built around sea buckthorn CO2, a golden berry extract naturally rich in omega-7, carotenoids and vitamin E, blended into a base of traditional Ayurvedic Vata-balancing oils. It nourishes very dry skin, soothes tight, uncomfortable patches and helps skin hold onto moisture.

Use it on dry hands, rough elbows, cracked heels and anywhere skin feels depleted.

The golden active: sea buckthorn CO2

Sea buckthorn's bright orange berries have a long history in traditional Himalayan healing. We use an extract of the berry pulp, which is where its rarest nutrients are found.

• Omega-7 (palmitoleic acid): a fatty acid that is rare in the plant world but found in skin's own lipids, helping to replenish and support a healthy, comfortable barrier
• Carotenoids, including beta-carotene (provitamin A): natural antioxidant pigments that give the balm its golden colour and help protect skin from everyday environmental stress
